Blog Post: "Every opportunity is your first and last opportunity"
posted Friday, July 4, 2008 6:24 PM
"Every opportunity is your first and last opportunity" During the initial stages of meetings with clients I often remind them that we make choices every moment of every day. These moments are always opportunities for something. It’s not necessarily that we miss an opportunity but chose to do something else. When someone is troubled about making one choice over another one than hopefully the next time, and yes, usually there is another next time, they will choose differently. Learning to make better choices as we go along in life is part of maturing, growing, receiving new kinds of information and using critical thinking skills to process. People so often live with regrets, a complete waste of the moment! If only, if only. My grandfather used to quote an old saying to me: “if only my grandmother had training-wheels she would have been a streetcar!” Learn and then move on, and I hope that you choose to be happy.
