The Associate Degree Nursing (A.D.N.) program at Santa Ana College (SAC) is accredited by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) and National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The program is designed to qualify the student for the licensure examination and entry into practice as a Registered Nurse (RN). Additionally, completion of the A.D.N. degree prepares a student to transfer to a four-year institution for completion of a baccalaureate degree. The curriculum follows the SAC Conceptual Framework for Nursing.

Completion of a Nursing Orientation (call Counseling for an appointment) is strongly advised. Advanced placement in the program may be granted to those students with certain prior experience, vocational nursing, or registered nursing education or equivalent. Transfer/challenge applications require an individual appointment with the Program Director. Advanced placement students are accepted on a space available basis. Priority class placement is given to continuing and SAC re-entry students.
