I recently started a short video on first jobs based on the interviews done on the Pursue the Passion Tour. What I was surprised to find was that most of our interviewees didn't generally succeed their first time out. Their first jobs were primarily obstacles or learning experiences that simply contributed to the overall journey. With that said the video quickly became a compilation of stories about obstacles. A big component of the Pursue the Passion mission is understanding more about individual career paths. We believe the journey is as important as the destination. Finding a great job doesn’t happen overnight and it’s important to acknowledge all stages of the process. Most of us find ourselves asking similar questions at these different stages and the answer is different for everyone.
