Job Description
The primary duty of the Home Designer is outside sales, primarily sales made at client homes within the market assigned. The role is responsible for providing expertise and design to customers seeking premium Appliances solutions. This role is an expert in taking kitchen design and making it simple for clients to understand and see its unique value. They are required to spend the majority of their time on duties related to their own outside sales. Over half of their time each work week is spent at clients' homes or other third-party locations making sales. This role sets their own work hours and are not required to make daily visits to Best Buy locations. They provide a seamless experience for customers as the single point of contact for all premium Appliances consultations and projects. In connection with the outside sales function, this position will coordinate all aspects of the project including overseeing execution of product delivery, installation and solutions. The Home Designer is responsible for achieving sales target in revenue, margin, product mix, solutions and positive customer experience from the time of sale through delivery or installation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides consultative services to build relationships with customers in order to identify needs and recommend appropriate sales solutions to best meet client needs and wants within the home.
  • Applies product knowledge and industry knowledge in order to confidently provide a high level of service and expertise with every customer interaction.
  • Offer and support creative design decisions that are in line with project goals and understand their impact on cost, sustainability and other factors.
  • Attends meetings with clients as appropriate.
  • Follows up with clients to answer questions throughout the lengthy sales process.
  • Is an industry expert with competitive awareness. Has a deep understanding of premium appliances, including premium custom and premium vendors.
  • Manages book of business through Customer Relationship Management (CRM), post-sale support and customer follow-ups.
  • Possesses general knowledge of the products and services that are provided by Premium Appliances and Best Buy in order to provide exceptional sales services to clients, create possibilities within the home and bring project plans to completion.
  • Sees projects through from initial vision and development to delivery and installation of product.
  • Anticipates obstacles and takes action to prevent or minimize their impact.
Basic Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in Client Relationship Management or Military Service Equivalent
  • 2 years of managing a personal book of business
  • 2 years of experiences in sales, customer service or related fields
  • 21 years of age
  • Have a current, valid driver's license
  • No more than a 2 moving violations/at-fault accidents within the past three years
  • No DUI/DWI or Reckless Driving violations in the past three years
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of sales experience in specialty product category, luxury brands, custom design and/or premium products OR 2 years of military service equivalent
  • Previous experience driving strategic business initiative
  • 2 years of experience in project management
  • 2 years of leadership experience in business, or relevant fields OR 2 years Military Leadership
