THE ROLE

The Director of Catering has a significant role in the successful operation of Legends. The position is charged with establishing and maintaining client relationships with business groups, weddings and social groups. The Director of Catering will have a tremendous amount of interaction and personal involvement with her/his clients, and as such must always represent Legends Hospitality in a professional, gracious and knowledgeable manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Catering has a significant role in the successful operation of Legends. The position is charged with establishing and maintaining client relationships with business groups, weddings and social groups. The Director of Catering will have a tremendous amount of interaction and personal involvement with her/his clients, and as such must always represent Legends Hospitality in a professional, gracious and knowledgeable manner.

• Follow up with clients to assess/evaluate catering event, with a goal of maximizing revenues and generating return/continued business.
• Respond to client inquiries with a sense of urgency.
• As necessary, have food and beverage guidelines reviewed and/or approved for catered events by the Senior Director of Premium Services prior to presenting contract to client.
• Develop and maintain an informed and well-versed catering team.
• Ensure accuracy of contracts.
• Maintain financial records related to the operation of the department and meet required deadlines for reporting to the accounting department.
• Arrange required site inspections and meetings with clients on site.
• Maintain open communications and professional relationships with the all of the Legends departments 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven leadership experience in a Catering environment
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a Director in the Food & Beverage Industry
• Knowledge of report development and financial planning
• Ability to develop and deliver sound recommendations
• Detail oriented

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) into the company’s risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day that the safety incident has been reported to you.
