We need help shutting the bad guys out of our systems. This role will focus on assisting in the day-to-day tactical work done to support a team of fraud analysts and the programmers to make sure that the business runs smoothly. In specific, as a Software Engineer on the Fraud team, you will be involved in designing, creating, and deploying solutions to immediate tasks. These tasks can range from ensuring that existing systems remain functional, to retiring tech debt by incorporating new technologies into existing systems, and by ensuring that end-to-end test coverage remains complete as these changes are being implemented. The rewards go well with the challenges, though: you will be on the front line protecting our systems from bad actors trying to steal money and tickets from legitimate fans.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Be part of a dynamic, highly-focused team that is responsible for preventing fraud and protecting ticket sales for Ticketmaster's 170+MM fans in real time
- Support existing Java and Node.js infrastructure
- Learn about new technologies and practices, and integrate them once achieving buying from the team
- Write and support full end-to-end automated testing within existing frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 1-3 years of software engineering experience
- Experience with Java ecosystem
- Experience with Node.js is a big plus
- Familiarity with Kafka and Kafka Streams is a big plus
- Familiarity with AWS and cloud concepts is a big plus
- Familiarity with one or more scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl and Bash
- Passion for learning, collaborating and building
