**DoD Secret clearance or higher.**
Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations. Ability to telecommute from alternate business unit.


Basic Qualifications
Approximately 4 years experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance and/or production planning.

Experience with manufacturing process and procedures including fabrication, assembly, machining, coatings, and/or electrical in several disciplines including composites, metallics, machining, bonded assemblies and/or installations.

Previous experience with lean manufacturing and process improvements is required.

Experience with MRP system.

Desired skills
This position will be assigned to the ADP Hypersonics Manufacturing Engineering Team. As a member you will support ME tasks associated with product development through standing up a low-rate production product line.
A successful candidate will be an experienced professional with a demonstrated history of success in Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related disciplines. This team member will be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently and execute tasks under only general direction, and the job will require multi-tasking and active engagement in the Production environment. This engineer will serve as an interface between the Production organization and the Engineering community, ensuring that released engineering packages are producible and can be integrated into the Production environment. He or she will understand process improvement and technology insertion to improve the build process through Producibility and Cost Reduction initiatives. And will work in support of Production mechanics and supervisors looking for places we can improve the build, eliminate repetitive defects and drive out unnecessary cost.
You will work with a great team of engineers, with ample hands-on opportunities, project management and engineering coordination tasks, and a direct impact on program success.

Summary of Key Duties for this position:
• You provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements we use to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
• You ensure process and procedures we use comply with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory guidance.
• You design sequence of operations and specific procedures for how we fabricate tools and equipment as well as other functions that affect product performance.
• You provide manufacturing producibility analysis for machined mechanical and composite details and assembly operations.
• You will be a team Manufacturing Team member who will develop the manufacturing deliverables such as complex mechanical assemblies, assembly tools and fixtures, manufacturing work instructions, technician process instructions and manufacturing bills of material.
• You may incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
• You will collaborate with shop supervision, technicians, MRP controllers, production leads, and program individuals.
• You provide successful hardware fabrication/assembly that meets engineering requirements.
• You maintain the supporting process and tool improvements that enable progression towards a fully integrated Model Based Engineering environment.
• You will need to be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule where business needs may require occasional second shift and weekend support.
Approximately 4 years experience supporting various projects and coordinating activities related to the full life cycle of projects from conception to delivery.
Understanding of engineering blueprints, process specifications and facility lay-outs.
