Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly-motivated Network Operations Engineer to join our team of motivated engineers in a diverse and interactive work environment. The Lockheed Martin Skunk Works facility is developed advanced technologies for the past 75 years.

The candidate will support the Skunks Works Advanced Development Projects daily network operations. Skunk works programs are engaged in cutting edge and innovative technologies. As a Network Operations Engineer, you will perform basic analysis, network infrastructure support and troubleshooting, networking system integration, in networks that include multiple levels of classification. Candidate will be in direct contact with Lockheed Martin the Aeronautics customer and its executive personnel.

This position is in support of daily operations at the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Palmdale facility, with some local and regional travel in southern California. Candidate would apply Information Technology (IT) principles, procedures and techniques to support network switch, router and firewall installations, network system analysis using tools such as Wireshark packet analyzer, operations and maintenance in a multi-vendor, multi-protocol LAN/MAN/WAN environment.

Understanding of Cisco switch platforms, vss, vlans, trunking, advanced routing protocols to include EIGRP and BGP, ether channels, ACLs, QoS, TCP/IP and IP sub-netting, DHCP, DNS, and VPNs are required. Candidate will also work with vulnerability tools such as SPLUNK, Juniper firewalls, network management tools: CA SPECTRUM, Wireshark and Vulnerator.

This position will support a rotational on-call support model within the region.

Basic Qualifications
-Candidate must have Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
-Ability to obtain a Top Secret
-Ability to obtain a Comp TIA Security+ certification within 3 months of hire
-Experience in validating network requirements, end-to-end solutions, fiber optic cabling technologies, network infrastructure solutions from customer requirements
-Direct hands-on experience with networking and fault isolation
-Experience with Cisco Switch and Router configurations
-Experience with LAN/WAN/MAN environments
-Experience required to set up, configure, support and troubleshoot a TCP/IP-based network including IP addressing and subnetting
-Experience with network monitoring, management, and reporting tools
-Experience working in a classified networking environment
-Candidate must be able to support a rotational on-call support model

Comp TIA Security+
-Demonstrated technical expertise in Cisco VoIP implementation and troubleshooting
-Ability to configure General Dynamics TACLANE encryptors
-Understanding of US DoD Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG)
-Ability to operate, utilize and interpret Wireshark Network Utility
-Ability to configure and operate Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) viewer.
-Knowledge of MS Office suites including MS Visio and MS Project
-Hands on experience with firewall and WAN optimization platforms such as Silver Peak & Juniper
-Experience with Spectrum monitoring tool
