Northrop Grumman Aerospace Sector is seeking a Composites Manufacturing Engineering Manager for our team in El Segundo, CA.

 

The position will report to the Site Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible to lead a team of Mfg Engineers supporting Production and Advanced Programs.


Management responsibilities will include the translation of Product Definition and Product Delivery data into tooling and planning requirements in support of production and development programs.  Provides core Manufacturing Engineering disciplines to existing and future Programs and Integrated Product Teams (IPT's) through the provision of skilled personnel and common processes.  Maintain the overall direction of Manufacturing Engineering processes and will provide management oversight, employee administration, and technical direction of all Manufacturing Engineering personnel.

 

This position will lead the team in liaison support of manufacturing production operations.  These activities include answering assist calls from technicians, processing of MRB tags, performing root cause corrective action, and be responsive in support of production schedules.  Position will require identification of training needs, Mfg Engineering Statement of Work (MESOW) development and input for proposal activity, as well as management of all related budgets.




Qualifications

 Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related engineering field
  • 3 years of leadership experience required
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate effectively at all levels of management and to individual contributors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret Security Clearance

  • A proven track record of developing and implementing strategies for change
