Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Non-Destructive Test Technician 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA and the selected candidate must be available to support all shifts including weekends.
The selected candidate will be involved in the NDT Inspection of hardware supporting various aircraft Programs and must be NAS 410 Level II certified in UT, RT and/or PT.
Proficient in the use and application of technical management standards, principles, theories and techniques to provide innovative solutions to assigned tasks
Have a thorough understanding of UT Non-Destructive Inspection techniques and theories
Possess the ability to work independently to apply defect criteria to results for hardware that is being examined and communicate those results through strong written and verbal communication skills
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a factory environment and be able to collaborate closely with a multi discipline Engineering Team as well as Manufacturing and Inspection technicians to support day-to-day manufacturing activities.
In addition, candidate must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
High school diploma or GED
2 years' experience inspecting composite aircraft hardware
Level II certification in UT in accordance with NAS 410
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Level II certifications in multiple disciplines in accordance with NAS410 (UT, ET, RT. PT)
Active, In scope DoD Secret or SCI clearance
