Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.  

This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA. 


In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to provide the following:


Title V-Support: 

Quarterly Certification

Monthly ESHM Meeting attendance

Audits preparation and escort

Monthly reporting

Weekly self-audits, compliance verification

Maintain filter stock for Misonix Fume Hoods

Replacement and disposal of Misonix filters  

Hazardous Waste/Material Management: 

Weekly audits and reporting

Monthly audit logs sent to Arlen Fuhrman

Waste profiling and pick up

Annual Hazardous Material Inventory and Reporting

New Chemical Approval process POC

Annual “Red Cans” service and stickers

Monthly ESHM Meeting attendance  

Facilities and Equipment:

Equipment maintenance and repair support POC

Annual equipment inspection and service POC

Quarterly Cyanide Gas Alarm Service and Calibration

Annual Plating Shop sump and sub floor cleaning and inspection

Equipment maintenance and compliance 


Support of equipment (Crane, PIT and EWP) certifications

ESHM training compliance

POO training and records management

POO Training Package maintenance

Maintain ESHM employee training  

Machine Guarding Inspections: 

Quarterly Audits and equipment maintenance

Quarterly ESHM Meeting attendance

Annual ESHM Machine Shop Inspection support 



POC for hazardous process testing, approval, and implementation (Area and employee)

POC for Quarterly ESHM Shop/Lab Self Inspections  

Personal Protection Equipment:

Equipment stock maintenance, ordering and distribution

Arrange, coordinate and support of employee certifications

PPE VMI Stock: POC for vendor and replacement stock ordering  


FOE Board Representative

Annual Quality Assurance FOE/FERCC Audit Support

Biweekly FOE Board meeting attendance 

Lift Equipment: 

Maintain Inventories

Recertify expiring equipment

Purchase of new equipment  

Capital Equipment and Improvement

Generate equipment and facilities cost's

Coordinate the purchase and installation of Equipment and facilities upgrades


Indirect Equipment, Material and Services Management: 

Generate Indirect expenditure quotes

Coordinate the purchase of equipment, material and services


In this role, the selected candidate:

Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering.


Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment 


The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations. 


Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks. 


Problem Solving:

Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.



Performs fairly complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. 



Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization. 



Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. May develop and deliver presentations


Willingness to support Emergency Assistance Team a Plus:

M3 Building EAT and EVAC Captain

Maintain Evacuation Maps and Member Lists building postings

Support ESHM Emergency Drills

Attend annual and biennial training




Basic Qualifications: 


6 Years experience in manufacturing production with a Bachelors; 4 Years with Masters; or 10 years of manufacturing production in a supporting role in lieu of a degree to include experience with


  • Hazardous Waste/Material Management
  • Facilities and Equipment
  • ESHM
  • Personal Protection Equipment
  • Lift Equipment
  • Capital Equipment and Improvement 
  • Indirect Equipment, Material and Services Management
