Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for aProject Management 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Thisposition will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

The selectedcandidate will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projectsand serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, andline management. The candidate will also review status of projects and budget,manage schedules and prepare status reports, assess project issues and developresolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals andobjectives. The selected candidate will also develop mechanisms for monitoringproject progress and for intervention and problem solving with projectmanagers, line managers, and clients.


  • AnalyzeLockheed Martin (LMA) hardware requirements supporting F-35 Production TeammateFurnished Equipment, Spares and Support Equipment
  • Workwith NGAS and LMA stakeholders to develop achievable plans for quantities &dates for hardware delivery, including financial impacts

  • Assistin the development and subsequent utilization of a “Portal” which manages thebaseline of LMA requirements, capturing new requirements and any changes toexisting requirements as well as the associated NGAS fulfillment of theserequirements

  • Coordinatewith LMA and NGAS stakeholders to address priorities at LMA and/or thegovernment customer to ensure F-35 Production & Sustainment are supported.

  • Supportthe F-35 Program Integration Team in developing & delivering associatedperformance metrics for NGAS hardware deliveries

  • Bringideas forward to the team and complete projects as assigned to further Programobjectives and goals.

  • Supportthe Air Systems Integration Team's Integration Manager as tasked on projects. 

Successful candidates will have thefollowing key attributes:

  • Proactive– anticipates requirements on assigned projects and initiates and completesactions required to meet those requirements.
  • Perceptive– sees how general industry practices can be applied to solve problems andcomplete assignments.

  • Composed– maintains a “level head” in the extremely dynamic, fast-paced, and demandingenvironment on the F-35 Program, especially when working on projects withhighly compressed timelines and tight deadlines.

  • Abilityto work with high volumes of data and extract necessary information to updatestakeholders on the status of key deliverables


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor'sDegree

  • Three (3) years of work experience in ProjectManagement, Program Operations, Program Integration, or related; or one (1)year with Master's Degree

  • Intermediate proficiencywith Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • General knowledge of projectmanagement principles and practices

  • PriorParts Management Integrator (PMI) or GSC Goods Movement experience

  • Familiarity with the IntegratedManagement Framework (IMF)

  • Previous work experience with F-35tools and processes
