Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineer based out of Manhattan Beach, CA.

    

What You'll Get To Do:

You will be joining an agile software development team designing and building advanced, state-of-the-art, manned and unmanned aircraft mission planning software. Apply engineering principles and object-oriented software design, coding, integration and test methodology to release service oriented architecture components in a DevOps deployment. Participate in all phases of software development from use case and requirements development through design, code and unit test to integration, test, deployment.

 

 

This requisition may be filled at either a Software Engineer or Principal Software Engineer level.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications for a Software Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 2 years of software engineering experience; Master's degree in a STEM discipline
  • Experience developing enterprise solutions in Java, C , C#, .NET
  • Experience in one or more of the following is required: object oriented programming, design patterns, middleware technologies (e.g., DDS, ActiveMQ), application servers (e.g., GlassFish, WebLogic, JBoss, etc), data grid technologies.
  • Experience required with integrating software from third party sources
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps software development practices
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain special program access by start date
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Software Engineer:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 5 years of software engineering experience;  Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of software engineering experience
  • Experience developing enterprise solutions in Java, C , C#, .NET
  • Experience in one or more of the following is required: object oriented programming, design patterns, middleware technologies (e.g., DDS, ActiveMQ), application servers (e.g., GlassFish, WebLogic, JBoss, etc), data grid technologies.
  • Experience required with integrating software from third party sources
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps software development practices
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain special program access by start date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with NASA World Wind, JavaFX, JMS and SOAP. 
  • Experience with Mission Planning and/or Command and Control (C2).
  • Experience with UI development using HTML, Spring Web Flow, JSF, and RichFaces
  • Experience desired in, Hibernate, Spring, continuous integration, EJBs, or JAXB, and/or data transfer technologies (e.g., UDT, FFT, etc).
