Summary: Directs and oversees an organization's procurement operational policies, objectives, and initiatives. Responsible for evaluating current and proposed systems and procedures and determining and implementing changes as necessary. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks that revolve around the entire operation. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive the improvement of processes and systems in a company, and implement programs that will have continuing long-term benefits.
  • Develop plans, schedules, and budgets for projects to improve existing processes.
  • Supervise and direct the work of CI subject matter experts/change agents.
  • Monitor existing processes to make sure they continue to perform at optimal levels of efficiency.
  • Individual contributor to provide support of enterprise Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Provide lean six sigma training and coaching to executives, directors, and continuous improvement subject matter experts.
  • Manage Problem Solving and teach Project Charter
  • Position is full-time and on-site


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Education and/or Experience:

MS in engineering, supply chain, logistics or work equivalent of 10 plus years. Lean six sigma black belt or master black belt.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word Processing software and MS Outlook. Ability to build models for holding costs and optimal quantities.
