Position Summary: Greets patients, check-in and check out- process including medical record preparation. Handling busy phones, to include screening and transferring calls, taking written message and routing to appropriate individual. Maintaining proper documentation of all paperwork. Verify insurance eligibility; using eligibility list, automated systems, Medi-Cal POS and insurance representatives. Medical record functions, including correspondence, filing, pulling appointments, prescription refills and messages. May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications [Required] High school diploma or equivalent. One - three years in a medical office setting. Strong computer, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge. Must be able to operate computer, copy machine, FAX machine, and PBX system.

[Preferred Qualifications]  BLS. Bi-lingual English/Spanish
