Senior Electrical Engineer

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work on a project task force team completing technical and economic feasibility studies, licensed technology based process design packages, and act as project lead for detailed electrical engineering activities. You will be a self-motivated professional with a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of ten years' experience.

Travel the world! Our engineers also have the opportunity for field assignments as part of a plant commissioning, startup and test run team. Work sharing in other Technip offices is also a possibility.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will:

  • Prepare single lines, protection diagrams for MV switchgear, MV MCCs, generators, motors transformers and LV MCCs.
  • Perform load flow, short circuit analysis, motor starting studies, protection relay setting calculations & coordination curves using ETAP and /or SKM software.
  • Prepare electrical equipment specifications, data sheets, control philosophy and substation equipment layouts.
  • Carry out technical bid analysis and review of vendor drawings.
  • Review electrical design drawings and support field construction and commissioning of the electrical system.
  • Represent group in staff, vendor and client meetings.
  • Assist lead designer in the resolution of technical /design problems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Science Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in petrochemical, refinery, or power generation projects.
  • Familiar with NEC, CEC, IEC, ANSI, IEEE, API and NEMA standards.
  • Professional Engineer license in California is preferable
