Sales Training Manager, Wonderful Sales

The Sales Training Manager is responsible for the training and development the Wonderful sales team whose members reside in the US and Canada. This person is expected to be a pro-active creative problem solver and has the capability to develop our training strategy, training programs and implement those programs so our sales team is effective and achieves their goals.
You are comfortable presenting in front of groups as well as leading coaching and training sessions in small group and individual settings. You enjoy working with all levels of employees to identify gaps in training, and you understand the in-field demands of our team. You are committed to continued personal growth and self-development and will embrace the continued education and training required to grow with the position.
Here's what you'll do:
The Sales Training Manager is responsible for our sales training strategy with the support and input from the Wonderful sales leadership. He/she is responsible for the design/delivery and implementation of training programs that contribute to the skills, knowledge and competency of the field sales force and on specific business needs.
Develop the sales training curriculum thorough an understanding of the development needs of the sales team and applies/upgrades training curricula accordingly. Partners with the Wonderful Learning and Development group to augment our training curriculum.
Plans, develops and delivers training and development programs to the Wonderful sales teams that align with product strategies including training classes and training workshops.
Conduct training courses with a specific focus on Professional Selling and Negotiations, Sales Manager and Supervisory Training, Key Account Selling, New Hire/On-Boarding programs.
Immerses and works with the team to gain a thorough understand of their roles to understand training needs and programs to be developed internally or externally.
Keeps abreast of the current trends in training within the food/beverage industry and applies to our curriculum.
Fosters a learning environment that focuses on development and retention.
Here's what you'll bring to the table:
- 5+ years experience training in a sales environment
- Instructional design training
- 4-year college degree
- Consumer Goods Sales experience a plus
- Limited travel required
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentations and classroom facilitation skills
- Works with a sense of urgency
- Familiarity with modern training techniques
- Highly detail oriented
- Positive and upbeat
- Strong personal character, work ethic, and attitude
